The 3GS is very dated in comparision to the latest batch of phones (iPhone 4 is much better, the Samsung Galaxy S is much better etc...).
So either the iPhone 4 or wait a couple of months and get the iPhone 5.

Or any other phone you get set to the 'Shameless' theme tune while you're eating your Big Mac and wiping the grease on your shellsuit to prevent it dripping on your Moccasins.

Why move this to computer related? its a question about mobile phones....
Dont get a 3GS, its rather old now.
iPhone4 is a great phone with a fantastic user experience. As for waiting on a iP5, only you can decide that, currently the phone is just a rumour.

If I had to replace my 3GS now I'd have to go for the 4, but only bought from the Apple Store, unlocked it'll be worth so much more when the 5 comes out. No other phones offer the same experience, don't believe the shrills.

Well the 4 is dropping rapidly out of the top ten best phones/phones sold (now 6th with all the android and a blackberry above it) so it's either wait for the 5 and hope it's up there to compete or go android

Yea you could go android where their product line seems to change weekly.
Buy the flagship desire hd it will be inferior when htc bring the next one out a few months later

I would just wait for the iphone 5, I was going to get the iphone 4 last year but changed my mind and went with the Galaxy S. I wil wait and see what the iphone 5 is like when it comes out and if its any good I may get it depending on contract? I like 12 month contracts so if I had got the iphone 4 last year I would still be tied in for quite some time

maybe they changed the design mid through production

Yes it does drop signal if you want to make it to. But using in the 'real' world it doesn't affect my usage what so ever.
Don't buy a xbox because if you wrap it in a towel it overheats

iphones are still the best phones but only just, htc are the closest to having an equal phone but are not quite there yet. i did get the desire hd which is a great phone and it was cheaper than the 4 at the time, as the 4 is slowly dropping in price now i would of gone for that. i wouldn't bother with the samsung phones as there interface is not as good as the htc's or the iphones and they feel very plasticky like a childs fake toy phone which makes them feel unworth the money.

What he said. Or then if you're willing to try something other than the iPhone...there's some good phones out now and some crackers coming before the iphone5 release.

My iPhone is release day phone. So you purposely went into bluewater and did it to every phone. You need a hobby

I would hardly compare holding a phone in your left hand while you use your right hands fingers with wrapping your xbox in a towel
I have never thought of a reason to wrap my xbox in a towel in my day to day use but I think I would need to hold my phone in my left hand in day to day usage...
I have spent nearly £2k on apple products in the last few months so hardly a hater but its so funny when you will see fanbois fighting tooth and nail that there apple product is flawless.

I never said it was flawless but im capable of using my iPhone with one hand whilst I'm replying , but you went purposely to the fault area to see if it was true .
As I repeat again in the real world you wouldn't hold the phone that firm like you do to replicate the fault.
How about use one for a few months and then report back if the signal issue is much of a problem you are making it out to be I guarantee you'll say the same as every other iPhone 4 user that it does not affect day to day use.
