Try uninstall this Fan control software,or raise temps in this sofware. This software i've for while, but are useless.Download Core Temp, out there is W7 gadget which you can have on sidebar....
And about the temp, which thermal paste you are using i have good very good results with Arctic Cooling MX-2 or MX-3 series...

thanks jura, think i thave fixed it now. it was like you said the cup getting warm. some new past and its all good.

the next problem i have got is that the dvd drives have stoped working.

they open, colse, they show up on bios, and my computer, take a cd in and spins them, but will not read them.

they were working, then i think windows had a crash as lost pass words to forums, then they stoped working.

any ideas?

they are sata ones. and have 2 of them.

if i go into the info, one is region 1 and the other region 2, but it wont let me change then, if needed.

a usb cd drive works fine, and my sata drives work in my dads comp ok.

any ideas?

thanks
ian

Hi Ian,if you are looking at Event Viewer you will something like this

or this

and this if you click under Event Viewer->System,and if is there exclamation mark or warning mark red x,there you will see error id,this is sometimes very helpfull

Or you can try unplug SATA dvd and replug again, what may happen.
