Default Graphic gurus please help

Right i want to scan some letters (fonts) change the colour and then print them so there the same size as the original one that was scanned,so far i cant seem to figure it out as i aint really got a clue about computers,i can go on the internet etc but thats about it.any help would be appreciated

very very difficult

once you have scanned the text it wil be in bitmaps format (dots)-- and will need to be converted in vector format (lines)

the best way would be to use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, this should scan it directly to fonts

i would have though most modern scanners come with OCR software

Thanks for the reply hodgy but you may aswell have just gone blah blah blah ha ha as i said i aint computer literate when it comes to things like that ha ha

well it is not straightforward tbh

if it is that important you may have to take it to a Graphics company, or just type the text straight into the computrer

hodgy thats the problem i was going to do that but im using microsoft word o7 and i cant find the right text to do that and the graphic has to be exact.Cheers for the replys anyway fella

in that case picky take the text to signwriter (or graphics shop) and ask him/her to identify the font

then goto somewhere like

http://www.searchfreefonts.com/

and you will be able to download the font into windows (fonts are part of the Operating System not the word processing program)

and type it out, bosch - job done
