PS3 - GT5 question
Perhaps I've missed it but I was expecting a "Top Gear" leaderboard to popping up as soon as GT5 was released with you all showing off about how much better GT5 is than Forza 3 because it has the Top Gear track. So far I haven't seen a thing, did they drop it from the final release then?

You win the TG test track in the early stages of the game Chris IIRC.
Is it not in arcade mode, thought it was but to be honest I haven't played anywhere near enough of this game, having a 3 month old in the house puts paid to any gaming for a while

The Top Gear track is in Special Events.
You've got to get gold in a knackered old slow VW bus to unlock it, so that you can freely use it it the test section.

The Special events are so unforgiving I want to pick up my wheel sometimes and smash it thru the TV

My 7 yr old had been playing GT5 when I got home from work and she had kindly started d/l the latest update.
So once completed I had a couple of lap on arcade and did something I have never really done on GT before, put it on the in car view with the gauges and steering wheel on view but sat about 3ft from the TV.
Totally and utterly transformed the game for me once I'd gauged the width of the car, absolutely awesome experience.
I'm sure you all use thisa view but after years of the overhead view (because that was all you could get on older games, im talking 20 + years ago) I have stayed there, cant wait to play it again from that view.

Aww f*ck! Is that the only way you can get it? I don't have time to dedicate hours to one track due to family life and I am p*ss poor in that VW camper, I could run it faster!!!

Why oh why the VW camper van??? There are so many other evocative combinations for that track like
Koenigseggg (the one the Stig crashed)
enzo?FXX (schumacher)
Any of the reasonably priced cars
Evo vs lambo.
Even the feckin G whizz would be more interesting than the camper van, and the physics of the elise handling is calculated on a hidden ZX81 emulator. There's no other explanation for it...
