Wonderful - now even Win 7 x64 can catch rootkits :(
Up until now it was thought that the driver signing process that Windows 64 bit operating systems imposed had not yet been penetrated to allow the installation of rootkits.
For those who are not aware rootkits are really nasty pieces of software that get into the bowls of a Windows system and are almost impossible to detect, and even if detected can be impossible to removed.
They can be used to allow unauthorised access to your computer, steal passwords etc etc.
Lets hope MS comes up with a fix for this.

P.S. for all of you who just say use Apple - don't think that your operating systems are more secure. Its just that they are less popular so you don't get to hear about this stuff as often
