Default HTML Only Web Site Builder...Please Help

I have just built a website using www.webeden.co.uk and it looks great at home. However when I view it at work it looks rubbish as flash is blocked and most others will also be using it from work.....

Is there a site like www.webeden.co.uk that I can use to build a non flash website, just HTML?

I have had a search using google and found a few YouTube clips showing how to do it, but it involves using lots of different software and sites..... Yes I'm a bit lazy and would like a "one stop shop" solution...

Any pointers would be great...

Cheers

It'd be handy if you posted up a link to the site you created so we can see what you designed and advise on how you can do it in a different way.

One app that might be of use is Dreamweaver, as it will allow you to code a website, and has a WYSIWYG mode so you can simply drag things around.

If you have menu systems and such then you will need to code them.

As said, without seeing what you have created it's hard to say what exactly to use. Personally I use a simple text editor when creating sites, but that is because I've built sites before so know some html and php.

I use Dreamweaver myself, although i can not currently show you as i took down both my sites last month.

The way i taught myself was to download loads of free templates, and start hacking and chopping them about, it helps to see what does what.

Nothing like diving in the deep end

I have to agree about the deep end. That's how I learnt. I was asked to help code our first website, after a while I got the hang of it. Given we were a software developer the devs were quite happy with basing away in text editors, took me a while though, but it's why most of the stuff I do now in a text editor. If I need to see how it looks, I'll open it in a browser.
It is sometimes worrying when you can look at a block of php and html and "see" what it's going to look like!

The site looks terrible and that's before I loaded the flash, adverts everywhere that no doubt don't pay you and it stank of unprofessional.

Google sites does not use Flash.

This template for a club site would suit you just fine and if you want to tweak further there are loads of tutorials http://sites.google.com/site/clubtemplate_en/

You get a lot more than I've mentioned for your ten dollars. The calendar on it's own is worth that much money, online file storage and document sharing is worth another ten.

If I'm wrong I'll hit the deck and do 30 push ups.
