APPLE TV
Seen the new Apple TVs at 99 quid so im gonna go get 1
Anybody got one ?
I just want an easy interface to stream movies music to my main room, and this little thing does it.
Divx etc will have to come through tvercity or others as the TV will only do >mov Mp4 etc
loks cool though
I do have 360 and PS3 but wife is technophobe and i think will get on with this unit far better than the console interfaces, PLUS its got AIRTIME where u can stream direct from Ipad Iphone etc.
Whats 99quid go get 2 :P

I would see how cheap you can get an original ATV and then hack it using patchstick (very simple to do) and get XBMC running on it, this will allow you to stream / store media on it's hard drive. It's the setup I've got here and it works really well.
As for the ATV 2, I've not got one, so cannot comment on them. I'll ask my friend if he has one yet, he created the "backrow SDK" for the original ATV and might be doing something similar for the ATV 2, and so he'd know a bit about what can and cannot be done with it. Think he is also mentioned in wired's latest article about the atv 2
