Transfering your toolbar favorites

Question Transfering your toolbar favorites

I've bought a new laptop today and was wondering if there is a way to transfer all my toolbar favorites from IE8 on my old one to my new one also IE8

There's always a way to export your bookmarks/favorites, some browsers make it easier than others.

really really easy

goto C:\Documents and Settings\your username\and copy the favorites folder to the new location

you can put it on a USB drive as a temp location

the favorites folder location differs on various Windows Versions in usually in C:\Users\your username\ in vista windows 7 - but as above in XP

you can find the location of the favorites by typing shell:favorites into the run bar
