Default i5-655K cpu now @ 4.38 GHz !

Today I bought a new case, ( NZXT Panzerbox ) two huge 190mm fans + 120mm fan plus 140mm PSU fan too !

Spent this evening tweaking the BIOS...

BCLK is at 190 and with a 23x multiplier she's cruising at 4.38 GHz !

Maximum temp. under 100% load is 68 degrees, and that's stable and has been running for four hours now.

To think my Amiga 2000 ran @ 7 MHz

She's sat crunching, so I'm off for a shower...

Not sure I dare leave it running all night long

dunx

P.S. That's £75 off next month's wages already

Great result
Mine is overclocked around 4.6Ghz i7-920 and is stable(tested with OCCT,Prime95,Intel burn test and some gpu benchmarks 3D mark) and temps are something around 55c on full load(now with Danger Den watercool),break 5Ghz will be possible but with LN2,i7 create lot of heat
Try some benchmark for night OCCT,Prime95

Nice clocking, guys.

I've been starting to wonder whether it's time I had a i5/i7 based machine.

Nice speed

Im still cruising with 3.55ghz on my Q6700, not seen any real need for anything faster yet, not sure anything on the horizon will need it either.

But its like having a 500bhp impreza, even as a road car, you still want one

Nice OC's! I'm still rolling on C2D CPU running 3.8Ghz. I cant really justify buying an i5/i7 yet.
Looking to upgrade my old gfx card though. What do you recommend for under £150?

GTX460 are very good value for money and are very good.
HD5850 are more pricey but are great or HD5770 are perfect GPU for anyone(my friend run DIRT 2 in DX11 with 8xAA and get around 51fps and without AA get around 70fps)
