Default Digital TV Wireless sender......any good ??

Help as usual

Look a few inches below and I'm getting a new telly..........it's going to be about 15 feet away from the TV aerial socket but due to the shape of the room it's going to be a good few metres of co-ax cable away

To avoid a long length cabling, are these wireless sender things any good? Can they cope with future HD and the like ?

Cheers

I used to use one and it worked fine......well, until it started changing channels and going through the tv guide on its own

had a £90 Phillips one to take the signal upstairs - wasn't bad so long as you don't mind losing signal every 5 minutes for a couple of seconds.

Soon as I got wireless Internet, seemed to disrupt the signal and weather conditions seemed to affect it.

Not worth it for main telly just because it's not near aerial socket by any stretch due to quality issues and price

Smart move, ours doesn't like the dog, the Wi-Fi or the microwave...

LOL

I had problems with wi-fi when I used an extender. My sender was 2.4GHz though, whereas the original link is 5.8GHz and theoretically shouldn't suffer from interference with wi-fi.

agreed, but theory is great until you put it into practice

Hence - Theoretically. I've not put it into practice as I stopped using them anyway.
