Default Retro gaming

Just wondering if anyone on here is into retro gaming, i'm talking about NES, Master system, Megadrive, SNES etc?

I've decided i'm going to start collecting the old consoles and games, just picked up a megadrive 2 boxed with Street Fighter 2 Championship edition and Sonic 2 for £20. Anyone else collecting or know of any good forums?

I saw one at mitchell car boot for 12 quid including 4 controllers, mario 64 , banjo kazooie and goldeneye. The tight git would not take a tenner so I left it

Would have definately paid £12 for that just to play golden eye again.

Incidentally if yo see a copy of Streets of Rage 3 for the Megadrive at a car boot sale it goes for circa £50 on ebay!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nintendo-64-N6...item4aa39a8a0b

That would definately be worth a watch if you want an N64 with golden eye, no bids at the moment

Certainly wouldn't bother buying the old systems when most modern PCs can comfortably emulate them

I spend hours on the sega genesis emulator playing some daytona and road rash.

Might get a ps1 emulator too for some ridge racer and resident evil playtime

as said on the other threads i've got most of the main consoles that have come out since 91 now, its great going round car boots looking for bargains that people don't realise about. i got a boxed master system and nes for a tenner a few months back and got 10 sega saturn games for a fiver the other day, i could cash them in a make quite a bit but enjoy keeping them. my best find has to be a dreamcast i bought unboxed but with 20 games and 4 controllers for £6, then discovered it had the elusive sonic adventure 2 collectors edition in there, worth about £80 on its own.

Not the same thing to me though, I could buy the Megadrive collection for the xbox for £15 with 30 games but I like having the original consoles

i still have most of my old consoles, but I would love my old vectrex

I've looked at a few but there is always a fault or two

on the upside our lass got me this for my birthday last week

It has most of the games I remember playing as a child, Space Invaders, Scramble, 1942, Galaxian, Gyruss, Donkey Kong etc.

I've not touched the xbox or the PS3 since getting it

Bargain fella, if you have Sonic CD it's worth about £20 alone

I didn't realise people still bought those old consoles?? I have an old Megadrive, Snes and N64 all with the hardware addons that play all the games and all the games on floppy for each of those consoles. I may have a try and sell them on ebay

You can't sell the "back-up" devices on Ebay!

I just bought a minty NES action pack, I had to let go of a lot of money for it (best part of £200), but can't wait for it to arrive.
