God Damn Virgin

I've got a 50mb internet connection, i do, honest, it just hasn't worked since last wednesday .
rang them everyday to be told it'll be up in 12-24 hours, but sod all happened. was told on friday its a general fault across the whole of the nottingham area (well guess mate who lives 1/2 a mile away lives in timbucktoo then) and wont be sorted until today at 2.15 (an hour to go).
so i'll be home in about 3 and a half hours, whats the odds on it still being fecked???????????????

I'm down the road from you in Derby area.. Since changing to Virgin last October it's gone down twice.
Second time was Easter bank holiday weekend. Slowed down on the Thu, then from Fri to the following Tue I couldn't get onto half of the sites I normally can. Scoobynet was ok but youtube, Amazon and Virginmail etc would not load at all
I tried ringing but was kept waiting for ages..
My mate who lives half mile away who is also with Virgin had no issues.
I'm not sure what the problem was but it seemed to correct itself so can only assume it was "their" end.
NB both my desktop PC and wireless laptop had exactly the same simptoms
Apart from the above, I get almost 10mb most of the time so I'm happy. Any other provider around here is strangled by BT infrastructure

I'd be thinking of cancelling stading order by now and moving on...
That's when it'll get interesting as I guess they will suddenly jump to attention and threaten you with court action...
