How do I edit pictures on Micrsoft Office picture manager?

When I click on Edit, it doesn't give the option of erasing things [number plate etc]

It's ****e. Download gimp, it's a free Photoshop equivalent.

To sort of answer your question, the editor won't know what a number plate is or anything else in the image, it will just see them as 1s and 0s. So to hide your number plate you will need to manipulate the image, either by making that part of the image fuzzy (scrambling the numbers) or by "chopping" out that part of the image.

Download The Gimp 2.6.8 - FileHippo.com

Yeh , that's what I can't do as it doesn't appear to give me that option or any editing options. I have edited out plates before but this software doesn't appear to allow any changes or give me those options.
It used to be a case of clicking on a brush or spray can and choosing a colour but I can't find these either?
