Default Firefox ad blocker

As per previous thread in here (I'm a regular now ), reinstalled Firefox on the pc.

Had an ad blocker on it before which blocked all the ads off here and other forums without fannying about. But this ad blocker wants all sorts of induvidual things doing for each ad.

Is there a generic ad blocker I can use which detects them automatically and doesn't show them. It's even worse on the 106 owners forum than here

Andy, the day I installed Firefox it asked me if I wnated adblock plus. I put that on too and haven't seen an ad I didn't ask for since.

Do you also run AVG? Good adblocker on there. I also run Adaware and Spybot.

I think thats how I did it last time re. the ad blocker. Downloaded the Ad block plus and will ask my little brother if he runs AVG on the PC for me (computer/tech geek).

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

Click add to Firefox, wait 10 seconds, restart, use the top option for adblock rules USA(will make sense when you do it)

Job done.

I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, and then did what you said. Worked a treat

Best not call you a troll again as you've helped me twice in 2 days
