i watch films on my tv via my laptop which is connected by a VGA lead,now all of a sudden it doesnt work, on the the tv screen it just says no signal, but on start up of the laptop it shows up the startup proceedure on the tv screen,then reverts back the no signal mode any ideas fellas please

 

There will be a key press to enable the external output. It will be one of the F keys and will either have a picture of a couple of screens or some text like CRT/LCD. Hold the Fn key and press that one, should cycle through internal only, external only, both enabled.

 

brilliant, thanks for that only trouble is the picture is offset and i cant even it out because it keeps swopping between screens one and two, it was that as soon as you plugged in the vga lead it put what was on the laptop screen straight on to the tv screen
