Been playing it for a couple of days and love it. Much more open than MW2 and love driving/flying

Spent 13 hours playing it today

Had to stop as the missus has just rang me up and asked me to pick her up from the train station

Managed to get around 11 hours today before the servers went down, then spent some time on the single player, yesterday was horrible with the servers going down all the time.

Had an absolute EPIC round with 2 of my mates in my squad, me as the pilot and then 2 as the door gunners, i was flying the thing like airwolf
Mates cant seam to get the hang of the chopper but i picked it up straight away.

When you get damaged you can evade for a bit and have one of your mates change position so they are standing in the back, with a repair tool to fix you up, while still flying

We totally dominated the entire round and nobody could shoot us down

I expect stuff like this will happen less and less once everybody ranks up and gets better weapons.

Picked the missus up, got back home and put the game back on at 8pm for another 2.5 hours

Thats approx 6.30am until 10.30pm

Take off a half hour to sort the missus out and around 15 mins for beer/food
A good days work in my opinion
I feel totally head frazzled now though, moff to bed
My mate who was awake 15 mins before me is still playing

Yea Ive got it for the pc & xbox360.
Bloody wipes the floor with MW2, my only niggle is trying to get onto multiplayer with the xbox. It just seems to not find any servers during the day, Ive only managed to get online in the wee small hours.

Yeah me and my mate logged on around 6.30 am and it we never got disconnected from the game until around 4.30pm we assumed that more people were coming online.

Played the single player for a bit and retried and managed to get back on a short while later but got disconnected again, our party of 6 managed to get back on a while later but split into 2 different games

My complete saturday playtime was wiped when the servers crapped out, i lost all stat progress

The best advice i can give is that if you join a game and you don't see your stats/unlocks then quit and rejoin until you do, otherwise you might loose them like i did

I have about 50 mins flying time now with the blackhawk and most of that was in the one game when they were unable to take on the mighty Airwolf

IIRC when i was looking into the server problems yesterday on the net, DICE had said that the PC version had the most connections over the top of the consoles, but that may have been to dirty pirates or the fact that the xbox had problems........

Cool

Got this yesterday, and I have to say, I love it! Kinda goes against what I said about the Modern Warfare games because they are set now, but I have always had a soft spot for the Battlefield games.

COD, this is how to make game about modern warfare

See, I loved BF2, loved MW1 and 'like' MW2. However I really didn't get on with the demo of BF:BC2

At the moment from places in stock I've heard of they seem to be around 24.99 for the PC version, using quidco to get the most cashback I went with GAME.

I think the PS3 version is going for 34.99 and seen the 360 version at 29.99.

Gamestracker is always a good place to check the prices......

(steam id : skyjawa - but it won't arrive till tomoz lol!)

Is anyone else having terrible lagging problems with the game on the xbox360 ?

So far Ive had the game for about a week now, but only have managed about 2hrs online gaming with either the servers being down or the terrible lagging.
Ive done a bit of searching on the net and it seems to be a problem thats appearing on the console versions, some people say or think there is cheaters using a lag switch.

If you still can, get hold of the limited edition version.
As it sells at the same price as the normal retail one.

I've got it on pc but have weird graphics problems with it so I've given up. It sort of flashes a black screen (in the shape/size of the screen that's there when you die) up over the screen when I'm playing.

Well first thoughts, turned it on went straight to multiplayer and I failed epically. I got owned.

Seems like you actually have to be accurate to kill on this unlike COD.

But I'm loving the vehicles sunday will be the best time for me to have a good go at it.but so so far so good just got to get better.

Maybe a gamertag list for this as its clear you have a better chance winning in teams.

Cool

I played this loads last night, what a hoot! Much more tactical than COD where you end up running around too much.

I also like the fact that on long shots you have to take gravity into account and for running shots lead your target, a bit more skillful IMO.

Shame I can't fly the helicopters though, they were one of my favourite things in BF Vietnam and BF2. I've got used to shooting with a controller, but still can't fly with one!

The maps are very well thought out too, plenty of ways to achieve stuff, and need different weapons too, which is nice.

I can see me losing hours on this one, even to the point where I don't play **** Zombies anymore........

Tomorrow, 12th March, and Saturday, 13th March at 8:00GMT/9:00 CET:12:00 (midnight) PST, EA will take the servers down, this time we will come up with even more hardware with more capacity to handle all the BFBC2 traffic. Once the maintenance is complete you will experience an improvement to your online experience.

This will be extended maintenance to allow the new hardware to be installed and affect all three platforms (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360).
Maintenance on Friday 12th will last for 4 hours - 8:00 GMT to 12:00 midday GMT/9:00 CET to 13:00 CET/12:00 midnight PST to 4:00 PST.

Since launch a week ago, BFBC2 has already put EA servers through the following stress:
The 4 different soldier types have gathered a score of more than 34 Billion.
There's been more than 400M kills made.
1.3M roadkills
Squads and Teams have assisted each other to 6.2 Billion points.

Now we are adding more capacity to let you smash those numbers multiple times over in the weeks to come.

Not surprised the servers are down
