Any info will be great.

I had a look at it, and wasn't overly impressed. Better route is to go to your local Tech College and look at a similar course there... (imho)

I agree. The advisors seem very eager for me to join but did not explain modules involved & what the quality of there training is like.

I tried this years ago. Essentially you learn it all from home, from text books. You can phone tutors to get help although it never really helped me.

I ended up sacking it, putting the money I had spent down to experience.

Its not cheap either!

I did the same as above. Don't do it, get a proper qualification from a collage or Uni....

The thing with University's is that they always want the full wack price & they dont always do Microsoft certified courses.

Computeach have been going since the 1960's (in the days of using punch cards to program computers ). They originally started nearby to me, so have gained a pretty good local reputation. They certainly are not one of these fly by night operations.

I'm not sure what they do these days, but I have a feeling the original management sold out about ten years ago, which may explain the jump in heavy TV advertising and home learning, of which IMO is not really a way up the career ladder. Call me old fashioned, but you can't learn a vocation from a textbook. Personally, I'd look at what prospective employers want first before committing, nothing worse than having a mickey mouse (microsoft? ) endorsed qualification that isn't worth the paper its printed on.

In addition, there are software houses out there that have their own training courses (nomally affiliated with a local college or company like Computeach), if the course guarantees you a position if you make the grade then its a worthy consideration. Although beware there are unscrupulous IT companies out there that will do training courses guaranteeing you a job at the end, but in reality the job doesn't exist or if there is, its a basic photocopier/tea boy, telesales or basic data-entry role.

The main concern is the training provided. As you said Microsoft is nothing if you havent taken anything in from the module due to poor training or just a text book thrown in your face after paying ££££.

I think i should just purchase the course material & self study.
