Very interested to see how it compares to the iPhone. I think one of the key things will be app development and deployment, by this I mean, how closed will it be in comparison to Apple's offering.
It will also be interesting to see what response Apple will have to it. It appears to have a 5MP cam with LED flash
The Tour and examples of the apps seem to be working now. Nice new turn-by-turn routing with auto recalculation in their maps app (would be nice if they did this for the iPhone version, have a feeling it probably won't happen)
Removable battery as well. Now that is handy and something the iPhone really should have. Looks like it's 4GB capacity by default via Micro SD, expandable to 32GB.

Androids getting better all the time, Nexus looks to have better camera, better quality screen and larger, better battery, lighter, easy to expand memory.
They look to have taken the 10 top good things about the Iphone and made sure the nexus beats it on every one of them.
Its no good for me as I like the keyboard on the G1 but my wife already wants one to replace her g1

I'm not too sure if this will be a good phone to have as there is an article about it on the BBC news web and the phone is more about google maintaining its advertising stake in the mobile market. So I pressume if you browse the web on your mobile device you may have a bit more than your fair share of ads

Top ten things, can you name them? How about integration? Does the Nexus integrate with 3rd party hardware better than the iPhone? How about browser speed? The only test I've seen was on Gizmodo, the Nexus was royally thrashed.
Please let me know the ten, as from what I can see it does nothing better.

It does look like a beefed up Hero (faster cpu) with some smoothed off edges and updated software, .
I think the Hero has a 5mp camera as well, although it has no flash.
The rest looks pretty much the same really, not sure it is worth of an "upgrade"
Maybe droid 2.1 taxes the cpu a little more and it requires a little speed boost? will be interesting to compare the Hero with the new Google phone, once the hero gets its 2.1 update.

Here you go, just about every line the nexus one has a better specification than the iphone. Android is already the best phone for email which is why I moved over from blackberry as there email system just was not up to scratch.
No adverts on my google android phone??, IMO the reason why google is so successful is because the way they get money from advertising helps you, it or they do not work against you!
Do you have to use Itunes with the iphone or is there an alternative as I just could never get on with it with my ipod?

No multitouch!! What year is this??
All I see are a few bigger number, that hardly makes a better phone.
Yes you can use alternatives to iTunes with the iPhone, but as it's a class leading application I doubt many bother.

Let's be honest, Nokia/symbian is never going to be a true contender, they are to buggy and slow, think of them as the lib dems, the iPhone used to be conservative, but nowadays its probably more labour.

Nope, no mistake and you can only install applications to the 512meg of memory, for Piracy reasons.
I'm trying to be impressed by the screen, but if you've ever use AMOLED in the slightest hint of daylight you'd see it as a negative.

Well it came out of the mouth of the product manager yesterday, so I'd say it's still restricted to internal memory.
Multitouch is the ability to use more than one finger simultaneously on the screen, doesn't sound like much but really is a big deal.

Multi touch is great, want to zoom in on something?
Place 2 fingers in the middle of the screen and slide them apart, pinch them together to zoom out etc etc.
The Hero has multi so I can't see why the new one fails.
You can root some phones and enable 'install to card'

Please Steve don't put flash on the iPhone. What's the use? I saw them demoing it on the Nexus and the most prominent thing was an advert for dog food. I don't want my phone slowed by dog food.

Flash is still being pushed hard on all the phone OSs but I expect the iPhone to be last (for obvious reasons). Expect Flash for most if not all Android phones before the summer, if Adobe are to be believed.
Yes, Flash can be used for adverts, but can also be used for a whole lot more as I do so every working day producing applications that run in browsers using Flex and Flash.

Has anyone actually ordered one? I'm soooooo close to hitting that confirm button. Love my G1 but its now coming up to 12 months and without any further firmware updates expected, can't really NOT go for the N1.
To top it off, my Archos MP3 player has conked out so might treat myself to an Ipod Touch to see what all the fuss is about.
