H P wireless printer problem sky broadband
I was given a Hp f4580 wireless printer as a christmas present and it is driving me mad trying to get it to work wireless. I have tried everything it works fine on usb but it will not connect to my router wireless.
I keep on getting the same error message. The printer can not connect to your router because of mac filtering. If mac filtering is enable then you can add it manually. I have tried doing this with no luck.
Can i turn mac filtering off ? Any ideas ?

you either need to turn mac filtering off or add the mac address of the printer to the wireless router list of connectable devices. i am running one of these printers on several computers running xp, vista and win 7 64bit. the vista one was a nightmare until i realised mcafee was blocking communication. you might want to try turning off security software until the printer is setup.
