i-tunes Visualizers // Flac to MP3 program
A coupe of quick ones if I may
Are there any other Visualizers available for dowload for the itunes program, other than the 2 that currently come with it as standard ? for Windows Vista and not Mac. Everything in the i-store look like its an App for the iphone or itouch only, various google searches just lead down blind alleys.
Also any decent Flac to MP3 converters, downloaded a couple and it's one free download the sign up for the full product.
Cheers

Pretty sure I've got a program on the home PC that does FLAC to MP3 that was freeware.
All the stuff required is free anyway. Download the FLAC codec (flac.sourceforge.net) and convert from FLAC to WAV (lossless), then get the LAME MP3 encoder and convert the .wav to .mp3.

For visualisers, take a look here. They might be mac only, but I'm not sure. I'm going to look for a windows specific one and see if I can work out where it gets installed and what format it is. I think the Mac ones are usually quartz compositor files, and Quartz is a Mac thing, so those type of vizualiers might not work on Windows.
Ok. This apple support doc gives into on where to pop the plugins, but again they probably have to be a specific format rather than .qzt files.
As for FLAC to mp3, I use Max. It is open source, so free, but you can donate if you wish. Works very well indeed.
