There have been rumors of a Mac tablet for quite some time now.

Another key indicator could be that 10.6.2 has code that prevents it from booting on Intel Atom based machines, which quite a few netboots use. It seems odd that Apple would do this for just Atom's and not other chipsets, and some speculate that it's due to them not, currently, have a product for that market sector, and that they'll be entering that sector.

Ah a hacked kernel to bring back atom support. Clever chappies. No doubt it's cat and mouse time though, as the next Security Update or OS update will invariably disable it again, thus the kernel would need patching.

Mock up of the tablet does look nice. I do recall something about 10.6 having some on-screen keyboard like that, which doesn't make much sense unless you have a touch screen.
