bought an Xbox yesterday

Morning folks,
Well I went out yesterday and bought the big black box - £405 with Halo, Project Gotham Racing and 2 official handsets from Currys in Notts.
What can I tell you so far then? Well up to the early hours this morning playing Halo - wow!! - amazing stuff!! best described as Half Life on Acid When you get stuck in a fire fight with mutliple aliens, being backed up by your fellow marines with drop ships all over the place you really do lose all track of time - best game ever? by far the best I've played for sure!
Project Gotham racings good but not so ground breaking, great fun in 2 player mode though the Mrs keeps beating me to the finish line!
anyway, back to the box...

Halo on the PC eh? I'd heard that it was a hoax, but maybe not?
Even it it did come out I think you'd need a pretty hi end system to run it.
Also, anyone got the adv Scart lead (RGB) for the Xbox? I've got the standard composite and wondered if it was worth shelling out the extra for?

One part of the game's description on the website states, "Coming soon, only on the Xbox videogame system." According to a Microsoft spokesperson, that statement is meant to clarify that the game is not coming to any other console systems. When asked if a PC version of the game is still planned, the spokesperson said, "A PC version of Halo will be released after the Xbox version, but no official release date has been announced."
I guess we'll just have to wait and see....

but 3 days after the xbox is finally released to the whole world, a pc version isnt goign to arrive in the week or so
Methinks you'll find it may even wait till a sequel is released (as anyone who's finished it will tell you).
Totaly playing time for halo on 'normal' seems to be about 15-17 hours (this was playing two player co-op) which is pretty damn good really, was still gutted when i finished it tho as was enjoying it so much.
Just gonna have to restart on the next skill level up lol.
