Itunes Help
I recently moved my music from the laptop to an external hard drive which I managed succesfully
However the other day for some reason all the songs were unavailable so I dragged and dropped them back into ITunes sorted
BUT they are there twice now !!!!!
Is there a quick way of deleting them?
I have 7k tracks which is now showing as 14k

Sounds like the database could be messed up.
What version of iTunes do you have and what OS are you using? I'm going to guess it's probably Windows rather than Mac.

Sorry, was waiting to hear what OS you were using.
Here's what I'd suggest:
Make sure iTunes is not running. Go into My Documents -> My Music -> iTunes and rename the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file to something else, eg "Previous iTunes Music Library.xml"
Then launch iTunes. The music window will be empty as we've "lost" the library files it is looking for.
We then need to add the music back in, so drag and drop the folder(s) containing the music into the music listing window and it should all them all back in, without duplicates.
