av software- anything else to add to my list ??
Okay guys looking for a bit off advice on the old story off av software , I run the following programmes every few days and although its possibly ott ??!! just wonder if with the ever increasing ways that are used to infect our computers whilst online there is possibly anything else that I should add to this list to try and keep my pc as watertight as possible ??
1/ Eset nod32 security suite 4
2/ Malwarebytes - run a full scan every few days
3/ spybot search and destroy - again run it with a full scan every few days
also have Keyscrambler installed and runs in the background, works by way off encrypting the inputed keys off the keyboard.
everything comes back clean when all they above are run , chances are is the pc free from anything nasty or is there anything else I could add to this layer off protection ??

Dont run them in safe mode unless I have something that wont remove in normal mode, you reckon I should possibly do all future scans in safe mode ??
to be honest I am sure the last time I tried to run my av in safe mode I could not even find it ??!! would I be correct in saying that the av which again in my case is eset nod32 security suite would have to fully loaded before I could run a scan ??
the others ie. malwarebytes etc are all okay for running in safe mode ??

Okay thanks yes sorry ad-aware this is another software that I use occasionally.
tried a full scan off malwarebytes in safe mode today and it came back totally clean, as I have now carried out various scans with various softwares including eset nod32, etc safe to say chances are my pc is free from anything nasty ??
lastly is there anyone here that would be willing to kindly view a hijack this log if I run such software ??
official source off Hijack this ??

Okay cheers for that will download it later, one thing I have actually noticed is that having just turned on the antimalwarbytes ip protection module, i am getting a message every few seconds or so to advise that it has succusfully blocked a malicious ip address the ip address varies constantly.
Bit confused again as having just completed a full av scan it has come back totally clean, any ideas why this should be blocking ip addreses ?? the actual website I am viewing does not actually change / get blocked, just get the pop up message in the toolbar advising me off the blocking ip address.
any ideas ???
