Post hard drive reformat

Hi all,
probably easy for those in the know.

have a 160gb Western digital hd, which had a small fat 32 partition and a large nfts partition, now for some reason the large bit is invisable, not that it matters as i would like to just format the whole thing, which i just tried and it just did the small bit and thats all thats now visable in the properties.
any simple way of just formating the whole thing? just to 1 partition (any free downloads recommeded)
forgot to add this is in a external caddy connected by usb.

Should be able to do it in control panel (classic/advanced view)-->administrative tools--> then computer management

Then open up disk management, in the bottom pane, it should show the physical drives and their partitions. Right click on the partitions, click delete volume on both. Then right click and select new volume, select the desired size and away you go.

(presuming your on vista or XP Pro- both are pretty similar, if your on XP home you'll need to do it some other way).
