I have just finished Dirt 2 and i started on Shift last night
Both good games, both totally different from each other
Shift has some sketchy loading times IMO might be worth trying to install it to the 360 hard drive as it seams a bit lengthy in parts

Cant comment on Shift as i've not played it, but not very keen on dirt 2 as its lost the rally feel, its mostly circuit racing or is that what rallying is now?!? Good graphics tho and makes a great destruction derby game

Shift is getting some good reviews but I'm waiting to see what the real world says about it before shelling out.
Find myself playing Little Big Planet of all things at the moment, one of those games that was bought played briefly and then left in a draw for 10 months....

The steering seems a little sensitive (especially with a joypad), but I've found most cars can be tuned to handle reasonably well. Must admit I'm finding the drift events difficult though...

Just finished the final tour, although i still have a lot of tier 3-4 events to do
The controller settings are horrible when set to default IMO
Had some crazy bugs so far, one of them had grass spawning everywhere in the track, on the car, and in mid air
Also had another bug where the race was just about to start, it went to a black screen, and i could here the cars driving around at low speeds (like the start of the time attack races before the green light)
I also hate the drift events, for most of them so far, i bought a stock M3 and just left it alone, it seamed to help matters a little, i also found you can drive around the track quite slow and when you get near a marker for the drift points, just handbrake in front of it and put some power on to get the bonus points, it seamed the easiest way to do it tbh.

IIRC i dropped the steering deadzone down to around 20%
My controller has started drifting back towards the left on its own, so i could not drop the dead zone down any further, you might be ok
I think brakes and throttle dead zones are around 30% (might be wrong)
Steering sensitivity is right down to about 15%
And i think i knocked the high speed sensitivity down quite a bit as well, although i never fully tested the high speed one out, so i have no idea if it made it better or worse.
For the final tour races, i had to switch on the assists, as the whole argey-bargey into the first corner was constantly spinning me out and i was getting rather mad
I have deliberately kept away from the high power RWD only races so far, and when ever i have had the chance to use a AWD i have makes things a bit more forgiving
To be honest, i had a load of V-power vouchers so i only paid 13quid for my NFS Shift, and the main reason i wanted it was to use as a trade in for Forza3 when its released
