iPhone help
Basically updating iphone to latest firmware and got the 2002 error. No matter what I do it wont recover.
I can set the phone up on another PC and I have copied the whole folder from application data, where (as I understand it) my previous setup will be backed up to, I really need the contacts and SMS if possible..
Can anyone tell me how to do it?
I've tried copying folder for folder but itunes doesn't care.

Try this SQLite Database Browser | Get SQLite Database Browser at SourceForge.net
You'll need to find your backup files, and just drop each one in turn into the application until you find the one you're looking for. I'd suggest the larger files would be best to start with.

lol no you are just paranoid about piracy JC, always have been, always will be. You should work for the police, that curious nose of yours could sniff out some serious crims Actually jailbreaking isn't illegal anyway is it?

Paranoid, absolutely. But this has nothing to do with piracy, this stinks of incompetence, something I'm also scared of.
The answer is simple, restore the phone then connect to the PC where the contacts were copied from. As this phone is as Apple intended this won't be a problem. If it's even slightly dodgy then I'd use a Jailbrake tool to restore it, most will fix the error that Pimmo is seeing as their tools were the main reason for seeing it.

Phone was connected to iTunes, iTunes said do you want to update. Phone had never been connected to PC before.
Yes is clicked and iTunes backs up but does not Sync ... then dies when trying to update .. iTunes error 2002.
Repeated on another PC and phone is working but without details.
