i use both tbh
firefox has a very usefull facility to delete ALL browsing activity after the window is closed - cookies, history, logon details -- the lot
quite useful -- especially in a multi user setup

I've been using FF almost exclusively for years now. Only really used IE since for sites that wouldn't render correctly in FF, but can't remember the last time I needed to use it.

One of the best things about Firefox (apart from speed, small size, neatness, common sense layout, less hacked etc.) are the Add-ons!
I use NoScript, which blocks scripts, java etc for all sites unless you individually permit them. Thus you will need to enable them on YouTube to watch videos, but should you accidentally stumble upon somewhere like Start Panicking! (click at your own risk, but it doesn't auto-run) you won't accidentally disclose your browsing history to someone that you have never met!!!
I also use RefControl, which can block the forwarding of your current URL to the next website that you visit (the Referrer ID), again, on an individual basis. Thus should you go from debbyduzdallas.com (not a real site, but you get my drift) to scoobynet.com, the latter won't know about your sordid viewing habits as well
Plus i use Ghostery, which keeps you informed of any advertising type gizmos hidden behind (most) web-sites - you will be amazed how widespread Google Analytics is

The last time i checked the stats for people visiting my website, i think i recall around 50% of them being firefox users, around 37% IE users, and the rest were them geeky nerd types who like to be different

Used firefox pretty much since the first version came out (and Netscape before that )
Some of the plugins are brilliant, especially AdBlock, which makes browsing a certain well known forum much more pleasant
