I installed it last night in fact. Downloaded the RTM version and with the re-arming built in, it'll last until my purchased copy arrives around Oct 22nd and I can use the registration key then.
Very impresssed with the look and feel and the new taskbar. Much more Mac like I think.

Whats the cheapest route to getting windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, i take it that Ultimate is the best version ?
I registered for the beta test programme a while back to test the windows 7 beta, i never actually installed it though. Do people registered on that programme get some sort of discount as ive had a few emails in the past from microsoft saying thanks for your input whilst testing etc ?

You missed all the best deals now. But might be available here still
Windows 7 still only £49 and £99 in John Lewis (in store only) - HotUKDeals Forum
And this was the old thread that might be worth a look to see if you can find it cheap somewhere
EXPIRED - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium pre-order betwen July 15 - August 14 - HotUKDeals Forum

As mentioned above all the deals have finished, I managed to pre-order the Professional version for £89 from Amazon. You could wait until nearer the time and places like ebuyer will have a cheaper OEM version.
