You need to drag your songs from your itunes "music" section onto the the iphone.
Just like you would an iPod..
Or sync your phone to itunes.....
MODS - care to move this to Computer related? Markus et the rest of us can probably help more effectively there

Mornin'
Ok, you have iTunes up and running, connect the iPhone.
Left hand bar, there's a couple of things we want to look at:
1) Should be an item in there named "Playlists" under this will be purple and blue colored items. These are your playlists, purple ones are "smart" playlists which, depending on the conditions configured for them automatically populate with music. The blue ones are user created playlists. From what you mentioned above it sounds as though you have created a playlist named "PTunes " and put some songs into it.
2) Devices. Under the devices section your iPhone should be listed. It will also list things like music, ringtones and any playlists.
I think what has happened is that you have created and populated the "PTunes " playlist in iTunes but you have not copied over that playlist to the iPhone. To do this, select the "PTunes" playlist and drag and drop it onto the iPhone icon under the devices list in iTunes. The main display in iTunes should indicate it's copying files over.
Once complete, click on the Music item under the iPhone item and see if it lists anything.

Try this:
1) In iTunes, click on the Music item under the Library section in the left hand list. That will show all your music
2) Pick a track and then drag and drop it over the iPhone icon listed under the devices list in the left hand list.
It should usually display a green circle with a "+" symbol in it (well it does on the Mac, not too sure what it'll display on a PC, maybe the normal arrow with a "+" symbol) indicating you are adding a track.
I'm assuming at the point where you pass over the iPhone icon it's turning into a no entry sign?

after all that I did end up getting a good laugh out of it
I've tryed doing a screen shot step by step... but in the screen shot it doesnt show the "no entery sign on there" so it would be very confusing...
Do u think my iphone might be faulty? or my iTunes is messed up?

If you have the shots, pop them up, along with an explanation. Just because it does not show the no-entry symbol, it does not mean that they might show us something else that could explain the problems.

***Here's a thought - the iphone hasn't been formatted for a Mac has it? Won't read on a PC, hence the "No Entry" signs.....
Just a thought.
FWIW - Apple products and Windows are not the happiest of bed partners. Usually the fault of ITunes for Windows (it's sh1te)
Not much help, but it does go some way to explaining why it's not as seamless as it should be (and on the Mac it is ) Sorry.
Good luck with it.
