I'll pop over and have a peek, I *might* be picking up a 3GS later today, not sure if I'll jailbreak it right away though.

Stupid question time. If I jailbreak it then a full iTunes restore will remove the jailbreak, correct?

Thanks. It's moot point as a) I don't have a phone, and b) It seems that at present there is no jailbreak or unlock for the 3GS.

You using a PowerPC machine or intel? There's a blog post saying that on OS X there are some issues with the PPC version and to use an Intel machine until these issues are addressed.

sorted it.Thought i'd post on here incase anyone else gets the same problem.

Run as compatible for Windows xp and as administrator , also disable UAC (which i already thought i had) all works ok now through vista
