Default Sky tv on the xbox

Sky Player coming to Xbox 360 - Gaming | Articles ? MSN Tech and Gadgets UK

Have i missed something?

surley if you want to watch repeats, you use the pc version, or wait until its repeated by sky (usually 3 days later, then for ever )

It says its Live TV, so I assume normal broadcast TV not just repeats. It appears to just be a new delivery medium (analogue/freeview, cable and dish being the others). It appears to be TV over the net.

No HD content though :-(

freeview over the internet sounds good as we get crap signal esp if they also do iplayer. I don't expect it to be free unfortunately so will continue to use the laptop.

Sky doing on demand on the Xbox is great, BUT I wont pay for it as I already pay quite enough for the subscription.

That doesn't seem to be Sky's policy. For example, the remote record costs 25p each time even if you do it on the internet.

I thought the charge was only if you send an SMS message from mobile.

Remember that blokes xbox 360 that was sent for repair and came back with IPTV enabled last year

this has been in the works for ages now, i had forgotten all about it, IIRC the 360 hard drive is used to allow you to pause and record tv ?

As did I, but I wanted to sign up for it the other day and read the terms & conditions: Whenever you create a remote record, they send an SMS TO YOU confirming and that is 25p (of which they get a portion of the money from the operator).
