To be honest, anything will do. The bigger the better as you can then have Dreamweaver running on one side and the site running on the other ...

I'd run at least two - more depending on where you're deploying the sites & your budget.

If you know the resolution that everyone using it will run, then it's easier, but if not I'd be inclined to have a pair of regular monitors for development and then a wide screen and maybe an additional 4:3 monitor running at a lower resolution or one that will run vertically just to test those out.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

I have a dual head setup now - one for notepad & one for my browsers.

The problem I had was IE & Firefox seem to display sliced up graphics differently.

I was looking to buy a couple of good quality monitors for development & wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

Thanks

I use Eizo S1921's at both work & home and like them.

Changing monitors wouldn't make any difference to that at all. That sounds like a bug in your html code. How are you slicing up the files and displaying them. Not using tables I hope?

I use a couple of Samsungs (a 21" and a 24" - can't remember the model numbers off the top of my head, and I'm in the office today). Very good though
