How long is a MAC code valid for ?

We left an ISP back in september last year and didn't get another ISP for the line, as it's only a spare line.

We now want to get a new ISP for the line. We still have the MAC code from september. Is it still valid ?

I understand you can just call them and ask for a new one. Not sure how forthcoming they'll be if you stopped paying them a while back though
