I have never installed the Toolbar. Every other google service though.

Login at Google.com or Google.com/ig do a search then its on the top row.

I have gmail but not history.

Maybe I wasn't clear, I have no interest in using History and am glad I don't, I certainly wouldn't seek out alternate methods to use it.
Might have it's uses for some people but not for me.
