Sony - stuck up their own anus...
Sony Computer Entertainment's ever-confident chairman Kazuo Hirai has said that the Xbox 360 "lacks longevity", and remains certain PS3 will finish on top.
Hirai said that, regardless of install base, or who sold more and when, "I'd like to think that we continue official leadership in this industry."
He told Official PlayStation Magazine: "It's difficult to talk about Nintendo because we don't look at their console as being competitors. They're a different world and we operate in our world - that's kind of the way I look at things.
"And with the Xbox - again, I can't come up with one word to fit. You need a word that describes something that lacks longevity," said Hirai.
"Last time I checked, they've never had a console that's been on the market for more than four or five years and we've committed to a ten year life cycle, so you do the math.
"And unless things go really bad," added Hirai, "there's no way that at the end of a life cycle our competition is going to have a higher install base."

I still can't believe they expecting people to pay £300 for console when you can get a entry level xbox and a blu ray player for under that. They not comment on the wii because it peed all over there sales.
Not be long to a new xbox is released and they'll be playing catch up again.
And you can't beat xbox for online so that surely that squashes his claims longetivity

well ive just got a ps3 (got a good offer on a new one) and i dont like it, ive had an xbox360 since launch and it ****s all over the ps3. only thing ill be getting on ps3 are the exclusives
