Question Mac OSX kernel panic....

Hello, Any chance one of you Mac gurus can check out what this kernel panic is?
I *think* it's to do with some Digidesign drivers......

Hi Dan,
Typically the list of modules gives a clue as to what could be the cause, and it certainly lists digidesign there.

I've just performed a quick google and found this thread on the Digi forums. It would appear it is an issue with Digi, they know about it and are working on it, and have been for some time.

I've also found the following elsewhere:

"many USB hubs have been known to cause problems with Digidesign hardware that run via USB, such as the MBox, MBox2, and Command8. These devices need to plugged directly into the computer and NOT into the hub."

I would guess there is some USB device using these drivers, in which case, is it plugged into the USB ports on the computer, if not, try plugging it into the ports on the computer itself and see if that makes a difference.

One other bit of info from a thread on the Digi forums, posted by their tech support chaps:

"To lessen the possibility of a kernel panic, just make sure that NO application is using Core Audio and that the Sound control panel is set to built-in before you shut down. Also never connect or disconnect the Mbox while the computer is on."

Thanks Markus - you've confirmed what I thought

The Digibox IS causing some **** (so much for being an industry-standard )

Not plugged into a hub - direct into the MBP. BUT I have been disconnecting whilst the Mac is turned on.
