best game for nurburgring ???
As the title suggests, whats the best game out there for simulating the Nurburgring. I don`t want one where you have to do loads before you can unlock it, (cause I aint any good at computer games ). It can be on PS2, PS3, x-box or PC.... thanks for your opinions folks..

Try rFactor
I recommend getting a decent steering wheel + pedal combo with force feedback (I got the Logitech G25 setup which awesome) to really get the best out of the game.
Once you got that up and running you will want to head over to rfactorcentral.com to download cars and tracks such as the Nurburgring.
It's about the only track I race on now and with something like a Porsche GT3 it's loads of fun - very demanding like the real thing and requires patience to learn.
The online racing is great, very competitive and after you get the hang of a few races you almost forget your playing a computer simulation.
As far as rFactor goes, I felt it offered the best balance between fun and realism and with the latest update is a pretty complete game for anyone who wants to take their racing a bit more seriously.
I tried out the others and they are great but I think rFactor has the edge due to the realistic way each car behaves, the engine sound and also how accurately the tracks are modelled (e.g. a slight elevation in a corner does behave as it would on a real track).

GTR evolution for the pc also has the Nurburging on it and you can add other tracks to it It also has various classes or cars GT's, WTCC, 1987 WTCC, radicals, catherhams & a 3 supercars I've also added M3 challenge so you can drive the M3 and the Top Gear test track
Combined with a decent wheel like finalzero says it is good fun I've got the Logitech driving force pro, it's not as expensive as the G25 but still has the 900 degree rotation

GT4's Nordschleife was modelled with a 15mm tolerance, it's probably the most accurate version and it is set to appear again in GT5.
PGR's was a representation of the track, it was made into a more arcade version than a realistic one.
Forza 2 had also, although supposedly being more of a sim game it felt the same as PGR's. Forza 1 on the xbox did have it also.
Never played it on PC so can't say about those.

Having said that, it is a good wheel. Still use mine from time to time...

Makes me laugh that. Most racing cars have faster steering racks put on so they remove a lot of that rotation (and so you are making the sim less realistic when driving proper racing cars and not a golf )
