Quick way to get Broadband MAC code?

Is there a quick way to find out my Broadband MAC code so I can switch providers, or do I really need to wait for BT to issue it?

You have to wait for it be issued AFAIK, shouldn't take more than 24 hours.

BT are normally pretty good and give it you straight away over the phone, Tiscali have a 4 day rule and send it u via email and letter.

I got mine in about 20 minutes after involving OFCOM, but that was quite an unusual circumstance.
