I got this as a Christmas present, and I've already lost a few days that could have been otherwise spent socialising and having a real life.

Thought this might happen because I used to play the original Halo online on my pc, and I was the same then!

So, who else on scoobynet plays it? What's your gamertag?

Also, what's the script with the ranking system? How can you be a grade 2 Sergeant in social slayer, but just a Sergeant when you look at your stats?

There are new maps coming out called Mythic and there are new achievements boosting the gamerscore upto 1750.

i used to play it but there are so many whiney ***** (british and american) that it just isn't fun.

to be honest, i just could not get into this at all, i never finished the single player stuff, i rescued cortana, then the game save messed up so i never bothered redoing it.

the multiplayer stuff i could not get away with either for some reason, i don't think i made it out of the noob player section (training camp or something?)

i just could not "get it"

maybe it is because it was the first halo game i had played and did not know any of the story?

i paid £40 for it and traded it in after a month, i see its still pounding the xbox live user charts and i think to myself "i must have missed something in this game" so i watch a video of the game in action and think "are these people mad, this game sucks ***** lol"

mind you i spent 9 hours non stop today on COD4
i had to stop as i felt broken

I stopped playing Halo in favour of COD4. Might pick it up again soon looing at the live stats it's No1 again.

Same as me glad I am not the only one not to "get it" I purchased Halo and Halo2 and never played either of them. With all the hype round Halo 3 I went and purchased it on launch day It was so crap! Gameplay seemed so old fashioned to me:

Cod4? could play that forever, Gears of War 2 is great if only they could get multiplayer games starting quickly dont like the new super slow matching system. Far cry 2 I purchased yesterday for £20 seems good but the maps are HUGE and there seems to be hundreds of different buttons to press during the game.............
