A mate said 2010 but havent read up on it myself.

Things they need to improve are:

i) Online play and the use of penalties. If they cant be consistent then take them out
ii) Speed of online connection - dunno if its just me via wifi but sometimes it takes like 2 mins or mo to match players. Other times its like 10secs.
iii) The events / licences need to have more variety like slalom courses, top speed etc - a lot were very similar. Still didnt stop me getting addicted and getting gold in every event

There's waiting for a game in development then there's blind faith shown by sony fanboys in the PS franchise. They're not creating something that has never been done before. It's a driving Sim. The length of time it takes to get these out is laughable.

I'm hoping that GT5 will be good enough to finally commit to getting a PS3.

Forza 2 is good but lacks some of the tuning of previous GT's. The ability to have a different compound tyre front to rear is handy as is the ability to fine tune traction control rather than just on or off like it is in Forza

How about GT for the PSP. Been waiting years for that one (but it hasn't been cancelled according to Sony)

Hmmmmm Im gonna sort some powerline adapters out so I can have a wired connection in the Lounge.

So when you select online -> pick and event/car etc -> then it takes around 10 secs with the blue bar to match and join a race? If so cool as I hoped it was just me?

That's just play.com guessing. No release date has been specified and all rumours say it's going to be 2010 at the earliest. In the interim, they will be releasing updates for GT5 prologue instead...

Because Forza 2 is essentially a graphical update of Forza.

By that logic, GT5 prologue was only a graphics update as well (which in fact was pretty much the case as the handling etc is almost identical to GT4 except the game is much smaller ).

Take my advice and clear all events at bronze first as when you get into S class you can tune your car and makes some of the earlier ones a lot easier (overtake in one lap of the integra is a prime example).

Hardest ones for me were the M3 fastest lap on the Nordic hill circuit and the F40 overtake all in one lap.

All you get for clearing S class is unlocking the Ferrari F1 car. I still need another mill to afford it tho lol

I cleared all but one on gold before unlocking S class. Think it was the Evo lap around the Alps circuit ( That track blows Donky parts BTW)

This made me get the Driving force pro out again which is a good thing I still prefer the Forza feel.

Only onother month to wait until simbin's Race pro on the Xbox

Yeah I did all but one maybe two on gold but wish I hadnt and focused on getting to S class which makes some of the harder events easier with the tuning options.

Amazing how u find some hard and spend an hour on it with no success. Next day you do it on the first go lol.
