my comapny lap top has drivers installed to back up to a lacie drive that plugs in via USB- i unplugged this and plugged in a USB mouse- 1 week later i plugged the lacie back in to do a backup but the mouse had overridden the lacie drivers so the lap top no longer recgonises the lacie??!!!!??!

my IT ppl say i cant have both as one will allways conflict with the other? this correct? what about a 2 port USB hub?

help! i NEED to use both of these!

Why does this happen? Thought the idea with USB was 'hot swapability' so you can plug/unplug devices at will.
