Child web protection software ??
Any recommendations for suitable software I could install on my young sons new laptop, heard off net nanny and similar type packages just wonder if anyone here uses one in particular that they could recommend ??

Child Control seems pretty good, which is what I use on the main PC
Need to find one that will run under Linux soon too, as we have just got an Elonex One T laptop for the eldest

I find the best thing is keeping the PC in an open room so we can pop in and out to see what's going on
Eldest is nearly 13 so anytime now he'll be able to hack most of the stuff I use LOL

I recently had to look at this and found that the Vista features - Parental Control - did all I require at this stage. If you have Vista look at Control Panel - Parental Control. Create yourself as the main admin account and give him an account which is controlled.
It did a couple of things I liked - you could monitor activity, block certain web sites, see what apps they have run, control what games are played etc. Might be worth a look if you have Vista because it's free.
