dvd burning

Default dvd burning

when i burn a program off my sky plus box to a dvd then finalize it, it works in 16:9 on the tv but when i view it on my pc it will only play in 4:3 any idea's why or is there a setting i have over looked thanks in advance

TV is probably stretching the picture to fit the screen.

My recorder doesn't so I use IFOEdit to set the 16:9 flag . . .

What you using to play it on the PC, decent app should be able to change the ratio.

Can someone explain how you record of your sky+ onto a dvd, using a dvd recorder? i used to be able to do it, but since i moved house, i've never managed to set it up properly again, and cant remember what i done!

What make/model is the DVD recorder? My Panasonic doesn't set the widescreen flag except on DVD-RAM which is why I set it manually so its suitable for any standalone player.

I'm reading this as dvd player ok, pc not, ready to be corrected.

I use "The KM Player" on PC and it'll let you select any AR for any source

panasonic how do you set it manually ?
