Can anyone help me out with a quick program ? Don't mind if its an Excel macro or VB app or whatever.

I need a program that can generate 25 unique lines of lottery numbers from the specific 25 numbers that I specify.

Can anyone help ?

That's just permutations and combinations. No probs.

Get this straight: 25 numbers in and 25 unique lines out using only the inputted numbers?

I finished my version, unfortunately it's quite slow because it works out all the permutations of 25 numbers over 7 ***** or 25_p_7, which is 25!-(18!*7!) the 7! being for any ball order.
That's 15511177775367509114880000.

What I wanted to write was an app that would give you the choice of covering any or all your 25 numbers. It does seem that after about 10 ***** covering all the perms, you would be rich enough not to need to buy lottery tickets in the first place

I'll dumb it down a bit. It was a good crack tho.

I'm one of those geeks that writes stupid software... because I've never written it before, eg; encryption, raytracing, calculating PI, etc...

Turns out that there are 177,100 different permutations of 25 chosen numbers. Found a neat little program that allowed to you specify a range of numbers to include and also exclude specific numbers. It then generates possible permutations checking first that they have not already been produced and outputs then to a file
. You can produde as many results as you want and very quickly

Clever stuff
