Default How can I connect my PS3?

Hi guys,

I have a Samsung LCD TV (LE40R88BD) and have just purchased an LG home cinema (LG HT762TZ). Can anyone in the know tell me how I can connect my PS3 and Sky HD to this system or even if its possible?

Many thanks,

Ben

We've got several people on here, including me, who bought an AV amplifier to do this properly.

Bascially, you plug your PS3, SKYHD, DVD player into the AMP

The AMP's audio out connectors goto your speakers
The AMP's video out (HDMI) goes to your TV

One remote control, to choose which bit of equipment gets used by your TV / Speakers

Example of an AV amp (slightly older model this one)
Onkyo TX-SR875 AV receiver: Good grief, that's a lot of inputs - Crave at CNET.co.uk

Or, on a cheaper note, you could buy an HDMI switch box instead of the amp.

You can do sound of one of them through the sound system as you only have one audio in and no no video in.
Not a very flexible system I'm afraid.

Bit late since he has already bought it. Your only option is to use an optical link from your sky box and PS3 if you have 2 inputs that is.

Cheers guys. I'm gonna look at the switchers and see how I go. Quite a bit of effort but hey - it'll look good!

Your other option is to buy one cable and keep swapping it from the PS3 to the sky box depending on with one your using. I only use my AV amp for watching films on sky.

All sorted thanks. My TV has optical output so I just connected it to the DVD player via optical cable. Whatever comes out of the telly goes through the DVD speakers.
