Default Screen scrolling issue

Guy's

Have a slight problem with my PC, after having to re-install the operating system which includes window's XP when using the wheel option on the mouse or slide bar on the right hand side of the screen to scroll down the pages the screen scrolls very slowly, just like its a frame update problem.

The PC is a Dell Dimension 5000, working on Windows XP, Mcafee Security Centre.

I have ran super anti spyware several times and the system is free from issues, plus my Mcafee product indicates that the PC is clean too.

Any idea's or suggestions would be appreciated

Have you installed the latest display drivers for the machine? That can have a drastic effect...

All I have done is load in the original software, which I would expect to have put the machine back to it's standard form which would allow problem frre scrolling.

It's quite a challenge given that i'm not skilled with this sort of stuff

I've found often those re-installs just install the bare minimum to get it running, (i.e. not necessarily the correct / most up to date drivers).

I'd go to the Dell support website, and see if there are any updates...
