if you using windows, i just created a folder on my ipod(my ps3 vids) and dragged mp4/divx files into it
ipod format wont work unfortunately

Have you tried using somehting litk TVersity Media Server? If it will play iTunes stuff, it will convert them before playing on your PS3.

Nope, But I have just downloaded Tunebite and acquired a licence key, That seems to work but its a bit messy ..

Is the TVersity free ? I can never get the PS3 to see all the folders on my PC then when I eventually find the folder I want it wont bloody play the vid/song

Well I tried the TVersity and its loads better than WMP11, I can now actually stream a movie to my PS3 and watch it at the same time , Also I can find folders and files a lot easier It doesn't solve the DRM thing but tunebites takes care of that.

Definitely recommend TVersity for the PS3 media sharing task
