Absolutely useless on the Macbook, so slow it was just a waste of space.
Ditched it totally until they get it working correctly and went back to Safari.

Sara,
I too had de-installation issues with an earlier version. What you have to do is to de-install via add/remove programs in Control Panel, then open up the Program files folder and manually delete all remaining Firefox folders.
Next reboot your PC, then install FF3 into its own folder from scratch. It should work.
You will have problems if you try to install FF3 into the same folder as FF2 resides as the 2 just don't get on. for others interested in this the best way to install is to use the custom option in the FF3 install routine and create a different folder for FF3 to be installed in and Bob's your auntie!
Note - before you do any of this MAKE SURE you have backed up your bookmarks or you will lose them all.
Hope this helps.

PS: FF3 isn't the finished article. On some sites that I visit it does strange things with embedded sub menus. However, overall, I like it and it will only get better!

I particularly dont like the address bar. You dont seem able to control it (unless Im missing something and I have looked) and its full of rubbish...

I ve installed it twice FF3 and uninstalled it twice,
to be honest, i dont like it, i especially dislike the predictive and history
keeping address bar. (how can i spend money for my hobby which is a cheap sport ) when her indoors can see the sites who sell the bits i need
ive gone back, and will remain with V2,
the only proviso from FF is that it will be unsupported from Dec 2008

you must uninstall 3 completely, and the folders it creates,
then install V2 from scratch

Had some serious issues with 3.0.0 when it came out, now running 3.0.1, no problems, other than the same sites I had issues with with V2.x. Like all things, it's horses for courses, I think Internet Exploder sucks, have done for years, although V7 is their best attempt yet. The great thing I like about FF is all the extensions and add-ons, and I don't remember having many problems with unwanted ****e when browsing, pop-ups etc. If you like IE, fine by me, but I only use it when I have to, mainly at work, and even there I use FF when I can.
Oh and if you're that worried about the missus seeing what you've been up to, give her a separate login on the PC!
