Missing or corrupt file ?
I can,t get windows to start om my pc,keeps saying the following file is missing or corrupt.*********** <windows root>system32\hal.dllThen asks to re-install a copy of the above file,any help would be much appreciated on this.************************* Cheers guys.

I had that and ended up re-installing XP, but this might help:
